Mao Zedong’s military thought & the Four Crossings

In early 1935, the Central Red Army maneuvered across the Chuan–Dian–Qian borderland, crossing the Chishui River four times to break free from encirclement. Mao later called it the proudest stroke of his military career — not a single clash, but a campaign of mobility that restored initiative after the Zunyi Conference.
